Nebraska Today features the Art Chapel
Nebraska Today published a story about the on going Art Chapel project “Students help craft Art Chapel for Lincoln neighborhood” by Kerry McCullough-Vondrak describes the goals of the designbuild project and some of the guiding principles Professors Day and Griffiths challenged their students to implement in the build work.
The Art Chapel is a collaborative designbuild project between the FACT and Plain Design-Build studio. The historic building, Lincoln’s first church structure, will be transformed from a neglected space into an asset for a struggling neighborhood. Completion is expended in 2023, the 150th anniversary of the structure.
